Founded in 2007 Opus Executive Partners (aka Opus) was built to be exactly what it is – a global preeminent Executive Search, Advisory and Consulting firm, serving the needs of the natural resources and energy industries. Opus did not intend to compete with larger multinational firms, although it frequently does. It was created to be different, to be special, to be focussed, professional and honourable. In 2022 the services of Opus Executive Partners was integrated into its parent company Thync Partners, and is now known as Opus-Thync.

We are exceptionally proud of our track record in creating and delivering long-term business solutions for our clients. All our work is turnkey with the sole intend of delivering a result to our clients ongoing and sometimes complex needs. We do so with commitment, focus, passion and accountability, the modus of ‘know what you do and do it well’ serves us well. We work exclusively within the ‘extractive industries’ and exclusively on Board and senior leadership roles.

Despite being a boutique, the firms reach is considerable and not only assists its client’s with their search needs but also in the complimentary areas of Board competency and composition audits, compensation studies and market intelligence.

As much of our work is deemed highly sensitive many of our clients demand discretion, therefore we work under confidentiality agreements, either drafted by Opus or adhering to our clients own. This also allows exploratory discussions to be more open, knowing what is shared is respected and protected, especially as we align ourselves to our clients when conducting our work. This is standard practice when talking to or working will all clients.
